This painting evokes the mysterious, ancient Canadian Shield landscape that inspired it. I used a reference photo I had taken from the dock at the lake where our summer cottage is located in Northwest Ontario. It’s one of my favourite views of the lake. I was fortunate to have been there when the water was still with reflections of the forest along the shoreline.
The painting is done with watercolours and pastels on 9” x 12” watercolour paper.
