In this piece, I explore an abstract landscape through layered brushstrokes that build texture and depth. The tall, overlapping green shapes evoke dense trees, while the varied blues suggest shadows and distant foliage. Near the bottom, contrasting dark purple and bright green patches hint at the forest floor, and a pale peach form in the foreground adds a warm point of focus. This work was inspired by a view of the lake seen through the trees, and I used an impasto technique to give the surface a tactile, dynamic quality.
