Intentions, Ideas and Plans for 2025

Happy New Year 

The possibilities seem endless at the start of a new year. I dream big, form ideas about what I want to paint and how I’m going to do it. I feel excited and exhilarated. Anything is possible.

It’s wonderful, but this year I’m taking a different approach. I’ve learned that my painting plans often go astray over the year. In the past I start with the best of intentions, but I’ve realized they are more wishful than substantial. 

For 2025 I’ve developed a theme to explore armed with the knowledge of the many challenges and roadblocks ahead. Along with the new theme I’m looking forward to trying a new approach to painting that builds on my experiences in 2024.  

I’ve already started by painting some studies.
