For me, this time of year is an ever evolving mosaic of memories.

Many things are consistent— birthdays ( yes, we have two in the family); the winter solstice, which is a big day for us; Christmas Day with family — and then there’s the rituals like decorating the Christmas tree, listening to seasonal music and eating Christmas treats. 

Many things have also changed over time — family members grow up and move away; we have Christmas Day brunch instead of dinner to accommodate travel time and shifting schedules; we go to my daughter’s house instead of eating here, which is ok with me; we even occasionally eat something other than a Turkey and we FaceTime missing family members instead of phoning them.

Thank you for being part of my virtual family and I’m thrilled that you have chosen to be part of it. You are now part of my evolving mosaic of memories and your support is greatly appreciated.
